JB Pritzker claims he is "looking at" arresting and prosecuting ICE agents who violate the law while performing their duties.

This market resolves YES if before July 1st 2026 Pritzker, Newsome, or any other state governor attempts (so if they order it and the police refuse the question still resolves YES) to arrest ICE agents (plural) for behavior that could be nominally construed as being part of their duties as ICE officers. So to be clear that means:

  • They must order or otherwise substantially facilitate or take credit for the arrest or attempted arrest of multiple officers (let's say at least 3) with the state police.

  • For behavior such as intimidating the public, pointing guns at innocents, violating laws about covering your face in public, or some similar thing. The core feature being that political opponents would be likely to construe it as an attempt to interfere with ICE's authority to enforce federal immigration law (e.g. https://x.com/esrtweet/status/1977543924114915727), so NOT something along the lines of off duty arrest for public drunkenness or a "personal matter", arrest for something materially related to performing their job. If the conduct is officially prohibited but clearly related to their job it would still count. e.g. Arresting at least three ICE officers for murdering someone in detention would count.

If nothing like this occurs by midnight on June 30 the question resolves NO.
