Resolution criteria
This market will resolve to "Yes" if Netflix officially announces a film, series, documentary, or other major production whose primary subject is the "October 2025 Louvre heist" before January 1, 2027, 12:00 AM ET. An official announcement includes, but is not limited to, a press release, a social media post from an official Netflix account, or an announcement made during an investor call or public event. The announcement must explicitly link the project to an "October 2025 Louvre heist" or an event clearly identifiable as such.
This market will resolve to "No" if no such announcement is made by the specified deadline.
Resolution will be based on verifiable public announcements from Netflix's official channels or reputable entertainment news outlets citing Netflix.
Background
On October 19, 2025, thieves conducted a daylight heist at the Louvre Museum in Paris, stealing eight priceless items from the French Crown Jewels. The raid, described by media as "cinematic," involved using a cherry picker to access a second-floor gallery and escaping on scooters. This event has drawn comparisons to fictional stories, notably Netflix's popular series Lupin, which depicts a similar theft at the same museum. Netflix has a history of producing content based on real-life crimes, including documentaries like This Is a Robbery and series inspired by true events such as Money Heist.
Considerations
Traders should note that the resolution criteria focus solely on whether Netflix announces a project about an "October 2025 Louvre heist,".
