At the time of writing, some polls show that the FPÖ has approximately as much support as the SPÖ and ÖVP combined.
(See for instance https://www.derstandard.at/adblockwall/story/3000000297272/etwa-jeder-zweite-will-ein-anderes-politisches-system)
This question is now about how this will eveolve until the next election. Will the ÖVP and SPÖ combined get more votes than the FPÖ?
For context: The FPÖ ("Freedom Party") is a right party, the ÖVP ("People's Party") a conservative center-right party, and the SPÖ ("Social Democrats") a center-left party.
Resolution Conditions:
This question resolves once the results of the next election are finalized, including mail-in voting. It will not wait for the results of an eventual demand for recounting.
The next legislative election is scheduled to be in 2029, but if the current government steps down before that, this question might resolve earlier.
To repeat: This question resolves to YES, if the ÖVP and SPÖ together receive more votes than the FPÖ in the next Austrian legislative elections. It resolves to NO if the SPÖ and ÖVP together receive the same amount or fewer votes than the FPÖ.
Closes:
Please note: This question closes beginning of September 2029, what should be before the election.
