Generation Beta (born 2025-2039) will grow up in an era where AI is fully embedded in everyday life. This market predicts whether at least 10 US states will formally include AI literacy as a required subject in their K-12 curriculum by January 2026.

Resolution will be based on official state education department announcements and curriculum standards. A state counts if it has mandated AI literacy as either a standalone subject or a required component within another subject (e.g., computer science or digital literacy) that all students must take.

@mods can you resolve this N/A or something? It's clear the market creator is gone and won't resolve this.

@JimHays I've extended the close time. I'm happy to resolve it when the time comes, or some other mod can help. I don't see any particular difficulties with resolving this without creator help; it's reasonably well specified.

Given the very low probability currently, my plan is to do a brief search of the listed sources and resolve No unless I find something fairly quickly that suggests either a Yes resolution or more in depth research is warranted. @traders if you have sources you want considered for resolution (particularly a Yes resolution) I'd recommend pointing them out in the comments so they don't get missed.

My inclination is to have the timeframe be inclusive of Jan 2026; I think that reading makes a little more sense than "before 2026" because why else specify "January"? Any objections to that?

@EvanDaniel I think it's overvalued at 3% honestly ๐Ÿ˜

No objections to anything you said, thank you for your attention to this matter.

@BlackCrusade I agree, seems overvalued. I'd probably bet it down a token amount if not for the potential conflict of interest.

"Any state by EOY 2026" might be interesting?

@EvanDaniel as a different market yes, it would be. I'd object to changing the resolution criteria in any way due to my "large" no position based on the current criteria.

@BlackCrusade Yeah, I'm definitely not suggesting changing this market, just idly thinking about what other markets might be interesting to create. (I'm not going to make it, but you should if you think it would be interesting!)
