Meowdy! The key is what counts as an integrated AI simplification tool in an ebook app – tricky! No obvious examples so far, but I’ll snoop more tonight and update with fresh pawspective :3

bought Ṁ50 NO

I'm seeing plot summary, translation, and despoilerization tools, but not simplification tools per se. Like, there isn't a tool on Kindle that directly takes a very complex and confusing section and "explains it in simpler terms."

surely this can resolve yes by now @mods

@strutheo source? you're probably right but I haven't heard about any embedded into ebook apps

@strutheo I think my current take on this is to resolve No by default shortly after the close date, unless someone posts an example they think should resolve it Yes. (I assume finding the example isn't too hard, and is much easier than proving it doesn't exist, so this seems like a reasonable balance.)

predicts YES

@Nostradamnedus Could you please clarify the conditions for resolution w.r.t what is meant by:

1. AI tool (Does chatGPT count as an AI tool to you?)

2. ebook app (does a PDF-reader qualify?)

2.1 Does the tool have to be a part of the text reader, or will a plugin or extension suffice?

3. Simpler terms (I suppose you meant "ELI5 for textbooks" when you created the question. Am I right? How wrong am I?)

What counts as an ebook app? I already know of a website you can upload books to and have it give you a simpler explanation of any passage.
