@Jgee Just to clarify your intentions by this, do you mean (1) Krantz will not have a job anywhere AND believe he is doing the most important work he could be doing or (2) Krantz will never find a job where he feels like he is doing the most important work he can be doing?

If it's (1), then that's sort of an overlap with (KrantzDAO) because KrantzDAO is not an official employer. Me 'working for KrantzDAO' is really just me dedicating my time to writing arguments for posterity. I guess 'nowhere' would also have to imply that I'm not 'self employed'. So, if I end up homeless/retired, happy and not compelled to do any sort of work at all, it would make sense to resolve to 'nowhere' (very unlikely though).

If it's (2), then that will not resolve until I die. I hope this doesn't happen. That would be sad.

Anyway, either one is fine, just let me know what you mean.

(2) Krantz will never find a fulfilling job.

Ideally, I'd like to convince these companies to collaborate. They are all doing very important work. They just don't seem to be working together. Here's what each organization brings to the table:

MIRI - Successfully identifying the most important problem (the control problem) and how to address it. We need to incentivize the collection of interpretably useful alignment data at scale and establish an economy that protects the opportunity to perpetually earn a living performing that cognitive labor. Gofai needs to beat ML to the punch. Gofai needs to be powered by humans at scale. People need to know they can earn a living by minting their own money aligning gofai.

The Network School - This is the largest social movement to incentivize decentralized authentication of education. The most important thing we should be doing (rewarding people for independently proving they got an education). This produces the incentives needed for rewarding the production of interpretable alignment data at scale.

X - The largest platform of users to feed alignment. The entity most capable of scaling a decentralized alignment initiative.

Noster and Open Research - A better approach to allowing users to control their own data. Essential for IP rights and establishing fair reward mechanisms.

Society Library and CYCCORP - The most comprehensive and complete maps of the logical connective structure amongst facts. The specific kind of data we ought be collecting.

Anthropic and the collectiveintelligenceproject - Aimed at using decentralized collective intelligence mechanisms for establishing interpretable alignment data.

MetaDAO - Focused on accelerating the adoption and implementation of decentralized decision markets and futarchies at scale.

New Paradigm Institute, Long Now Foundation, Future of Life Institute, Psyleron and EA - Organizations with important information that isn't being injected into society at scale.

Metaculus - A zero capital approach to prediction analytics. Needs to pivot to decision markets.

Polymarket - An enormous decentralized infrastructure. Needs to pivot to decision markets.

SingularityNET - The largest initiative to acheive truly decentralized AI.

Manifold and Zuzalu - Cultures I vibe with.

Congress, Independent Podcasting and KrantzDAO - Ultimately, I'm trying to create the narrative that if we turned X into something that decentrally protects IP like Noster and Open Research, then we could use a combination of methodologies used by Metaculus and MetaDAO to incentivise the collection and authentication of data (similar aims as Network School, community notes, Anthropic and the collectiveintelligenceproject) to reward the authentication of data useful for expanding the reasoning maps contained in Society Library and CYCCORP in order to scale a decentralized GOFAI futarchy embedded in the market. This will also fix the news and help places like New Paradigm Institute, Long Now, EA and the Future of Life Institute to get their messages into society.

I don't think normal people in the world understand that a properly constructed decentralized gofai (that provides sufficient decentralized job opportunities) would acheive game theoretic parity and make centralized authorities of truth obsolete. That seems very important to understand.
