Self-explanatory. Will resolve prior to the end of the 2025 MLB season if he reaches 60 homeruns.

Update after Labor Day !! Mariners might feel cute and wear white uniforms at some point, but that doesn’t really matter.

Big Dumper is sitting at 51 homeruns through September 2, and he has played 136 of the Mariners’ 139 games thus far. Of the remaining 23 games, he’s projected to play in them all, barely, based on a basic projected calculation of games played.

With this in mind, the estimated final tally of measured against games played is still 59-60. It’s going to be close unless he hits a heater or a cooler. Almost a full month left of baseball!

8/15 update: Cal Raleigh is currently at 45 home runs. He has played in 119 of the 122 scheduled games prior to today's date, which currently puts his pace at 59-60. Tracking back through my markets since I caught some time today to do so.

This market’s background, now that I’m not fighting sleep in bed past my bedtime:

Cal Raleigh hit homerun #41 in last night’s loss to the Angels, which was the Mariners’ 106th scheduled regular season game. If he plays every game remaining and keeps his pace, he will finish with 63 homeruns.

However, Raleigh has played in 103 of the 106 games thus far. This adjusts the likely number of remaining games he will play to 54-55 out of the 56 remaining, reducing the overall projection to 60-61.

This all assumes he keeps his current pace through the remainder of the season.

Bear in mind also that the homerun record by a player primarily playing the catcher position for a full MLB season is Salvador Perez with 48.
