British Columbia's next general election is set for 19 October 2024, though it may be called earlier.

The NDP won the previous election in 2020, obtaining 57 out of 87 seats with 48% of the vote and thus forming a majority government.

338Canada projects (as of the time of writing this question) that the NDP would win 90% of the seats, e.g. 84 out of 93. There have only been a few other elections that lopsided in BC's history, the most recent one in 2001.

"supermajority" means 66%+1. In the case of British Columbia's Legislative Assembly in 2024, that means 62 seats.

Will the NDP win a supermajority (62+ seats) in BC's next election?

Nitpick: 66% + 1 is 63 seats. 93 seats * 66% = 61.38. 61.38 + 1 = 62.38. 62 is less than 62.38 while 63 is greater.
