Is there a reason this closes before the end of the year?

@oh US Presidential elections are on 5th November, 2024. Feels timely to give it a "close of 2024" date for this bet, roughly coinciding with this date. I have read there's nothing to stop a US president leading the free world from jail. That would be really interesting... :)
