Arguably fashionableness is just oppressive conformism and we shouldn't let it dictate our style, but if we really want to measure it, a poll of your peers may be more informative than what a store is trying to sell, I find they're often trying to sell stuff that's extremely unfashionable lol
@TheAllMemeingEye This is a good point to clarify: here's the procedure. Step (1) is to go and see what the stores are hawking. Step (2) is go to a Starbucks and see if the teenage girls are, in fact, wearing those things. I think the stores do strike out sometimes. Although it does occur to me that teenage girls outgrow their pants faster than adults, I guess.
Skinny jeans have already completed this cycle and now all the teens' jeans are super baggy. I have confirmed literally today. ๐
@julia yeah baggy pants are definitely fashionable right now. The one thing Iโm not sure about is whether theyโre passed the point of the cycle yet where target would stock them. Presumably they will be by 2026.
