@JBSIyg2 Yeah, that would knock me off my NO position.
I reserve the right to be wrong, though. Perhaps my highest benchmark research was wrong.
@JussiVilleHeiskanen Mount Etna's last eruption prior to the current one was on in 2021. What am I missing?
@CraigTalbert Etna is considered active. Dormant doesn't mean between eruptions. Means not venting etc...
@JussiVilleHeiskanen it seems like we’re using two versions of “dormant.” If you’re using a strict definition then the questions doesn’t make sense as it would have to have to no activity for decades. So when you say “dormant for half a year” it implies no eruptions.
@CraigTalbert yes I botched the wording but after writing it found out that dormant is a technical term. And when a word has a precise sense, it is better to go with it even when things become confusing. My bad.
Pride logo prop bets: from last year, seemed around 10 companies:
https://www.yellopolitics.com/p/some-brands-didnt-do-rainbow-logos , some of them are collected in a Figma community: https://www.figma.com/community/file/1401846671670337559/pride-month-2024-400-brands-changed-logos-to-support-lgbtqia (missing some)
any opposition to counting Twitter/X and Instagram (and not Bluesky) as our representative social networks for the “how many logos” prop bets?
On June 15 I’ll do a tally by collecting a list of F100 companies, then checking each brand account on Insta and Twitter.
American F100 only, right?
the votes are in! i went through the top 100 rows of the fortune 500 USA company spreadsheet and manually checked their corporate logos on Twitter and Instagram!
the two companies that changed their logo for pride this year are:
Pfizer
AbbVie (puerto-rican subsidiary only, instagram only)
pretty sad crop if you ask me. maybe next year will be better!
